AVS/Express PST harnesses the power of multi-processor and networked computers for high-performance tasks.
Multi-processor and distributed heterogeneous computers on high-speed networks provide the backbone allowing mathematically complex problems to be tackled from the desktop.
The AVS/Express PST provides a framework for parallel computation on multi-processor and networked computers. The computation is distributed across shared memory or clustered processor architectures using MPICH for Windows and Linux and via MPI on SGI systems.
PST modules can co-exist with AVS/Express network modules, allowing existing applications to progressively utilize the results of the evolving PST development program.
